Jenn came to me with a very clear idea of what she wanted for her wedding dress.She wanted an off-the-shoulder, Celtic inspired
drop waisted crepe de chine dress with a celtic knotwork embroidered band in teal.
Could I do it for her? As you can see, the answer was yes, I could.
We selected a commercial pattern as the starting point and adapted the design to match Jenn’s wishes, adding the hip band,
elongating the sleeves and adding cuffs, and altering the shoulder line to add the “collar” section.
The last piece of the puzzle was the Celtic knotwork embroidery. Jenn had chosen the type of knot she wanted, a simple flowing
knot that would run smoothly around all the embroidered sections.
The actual hand embroidery took seven full days to complete.
The end result speaks for itself - a beautiful dress for a beautiful bride. |
