We’re all different. We all have different proportions.
Perhaps you have a short waist and long legs.
Or a long waist and short legs?
Did you know that most commercially made garments and all
patterns are based on a “standard” B-cup?
How many of us would fit into that?
Even the top designers need to do fittings before a catwalk show, to ensure that the
top models they’ve hired look as good as possible in their garments.
Nobody just slips into a garment and has it fit perfectly.
At least, nobody I know does.
Bluebell Design offers a made to measure service where the garments is made to fit YOU.
You’re not expected to starve yourself to fit it.
There’s no impersonal shop, no rushed appointments.
All appointments are undertaken in my workroom in my own home,
so I can be flexible with times and days.
I can offer a wide selection of fabrics, from satins and silks to corduroys and tweeds, but am also
happy to work with fabric you supply, providing it is fit for the purpose and you’ve bought enough.
I see clients in my workroom by appointment only.

CURTAINS AND SOFT FURNISHINGS
I also make made to measure / bespoke soft furnishings.
Perhaps you have fallen in love with a particular fabric for your home?
Perhaps you’ve purchased it on holiday,
or it was an unmissable bargain?
Bluebell Design will happily make you curtains, roman blinds, cushions etc from fabric you’ve found yourself.
Many curtain makers refuse to work with fabric you’ve not bought from them - I’m not one of them.
I can also offer all kinds of elegant beaded trims and braids to add the final flourish to your design.

All I ask is that you measure your window carefully first, following the instructions given on
the window treatments page. I can then supply you with an estimate of costs before we
go any further with your order.
Should you then wish to proceed, we can make an appointment for you to visit me in my
workroom at a mutually acceptable time, to place your order, deliver your fabrics and deposit.
Please be aware that I keep my deposits small as they are non-refundable.
At present I do not offer site visits until orders have been placed.
